"Keribee at Kurmond"is on a large private property, tucked away in a private valley, that was one of many in the area originally granted to soldier settlers after the first world war. Dairy and citrus farming was prevalent and evidence can be seen where 'Keyline' farming was used, developed by a forward thinking farmer P.A.Yeoman, with the aim of keeping water 'on' the farm, rather than running off into streams and away.
The current owners have used the property for Polo horse breeding for the last 35 years and continue to do so. The surrounding district, particularly over the last decade, has developed into the largest group of polo fields in the southern hemisphere - attracting many international players to play in tournaments.
Australia's "Banjo Paterson" was one of the early players of the game in the area...
The area is steeped in pioneering history for those that like to reflect. For those that prefer to venture out... a myriad of activities and attractions are at your doorstep, to be enjoyed. However you may like to just meander along, the tree covered drive pat a mare and her foal or be introduced to the basics of polo, if that seems of interest.
Sit on your verandah, watch the colours and shadows pass before you, into the valleys... as day slips into night, and a sky full of stars ...
