Fully Supervised Program
The Student group programme runs from 10.30am to 2.30pm or in the evening (subject to availability) from 3.30pm to 7.30pm. (maximum 4 hours on site).

Tobruk delivers a fun, engaging and very hands-on experience for school and university students of all ages. Students enjoy a unique and real Australian farm experience in the fresh air and from stockmen who have lived and worked on the land all their lives. What students learn at Tobruk reinforces what they have learned in the classroom, but from a very practical perspective. Teachers also get the opportunity to relax and enjoy the day, as our stockmen will guide your group throughout the day. The program includes many different aspects of station life as well as extra activities to keep everyone busy.

In particular the program covers:
* Farming history
* The stock horse
* Working dogs
* Animal husbandry and welfare
* Stock management
* Sheep production
* Wool and textiles
Tobruk will adjust the program and its delivery to suit the particular age of the student group. Tobruk has worksheets if required and aims to engage each and every student through participation and questioning.

Tobruk seeks to address the issue where we have a whole new generation of kids with little experience, understanding or appreciation about how this great nation was forged, let alone simple things like where milk comes from, how their shirt or jumper is made, what life on the land is like.

For these and the older students, they will return home with a greater appreciation for the challenges our farmers face every day but more importantly, the richness and rewards of living and working on the land.

You should consider Tobruk as an ideal destination for your student group because it offers:
* A natural learning experience for students of all ages
* Educational content delivered outdoors in the fresh country air
* An authentic experience that showcases the very best of the Australian outback and country life only 70 mins from Sydney
* A very practical, hands-on programme that encourages participation
* Quality food, amenities and a sense of humour and fun in everything we do
